“When the risk of genocide is so blatant, urgent measures must be taken against Israel, not the United Nations,” she said, amid Western criticism of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNWRA).
Indeed, the damaged vehicle belongs to UNWRA, which has come under fire after the Benjamin Netanyahu Government indicted 12 of its 13,000 employees for alleged involvement in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) operation on October 7, 2023.
Both UNWRA and the United Nations announced an immediate investigation. Several Western countries, including the United States, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, atopped funding the agency, even though the allegations have not yet been proven.
