During the Solemn Session that Arce attended with vice president David Choquehuanca, the governor of Oruro, Johnny Vedia, and other authorities, Arce explained that the funds will cover projects in the educational, healthcare, and agricultural sectors and related to the industrialization of the department.
The President reported that during the current year the Comprehensive Health Center at Curahuara de Carangas and the Health Center at the municipality of Carangas will be built based on agreements signed with the Special Projects Unit of the Presidency, with an investment of eight million bolivianos (more than one million dollars).
He added that an agreement for the construction of the Santiago de Huayllamarca Health Center is being signed, with an investment of more than 11 million bolivianos (1.57 million dollars).
The Isaías Second Level Hospital will also be built in the municipality of Oruro, with an investment of more than 55 million bolivianos (almost eight million dollars). Arce described that it includes the two-level building with areas for surgery, pediatrics, neonatology, obstetrics-gynecology, dentistry, internal medicine, sterilization, an emergency area, laboratories, supply and transportation, as well as administrative and maintenance areas.
The dignitary mentioned that the Caracollo Second Level Hospital is also under construction, with an expenditure of 29 million bolivianos (more than four million dollars).
The construction of eight works related to the educational sphere in different municipalities of the Oruro department was estimated at 32 million bolivianos. “Eight educational infrastructures are in the process of signing an agreement with an investment of more than 38 million bolivianos (more than five million dollars) in the municipalities of Oruro, Sabaya and Eucaliptus,” he announced.
Arce estimated at 185 million bolivianos (26 million dollars) the resources that will be invested with the objective of increasing the storage capacity of ethanol, implementation of bottling stations to guarantee the supply of liquefied petroleum gas. Eleven Aviation Fuel Supply Plants at airports and different fuel supply plants, among other installations, will also be built.
