Israel´s attacks killed 18 Palestinians in two Gaza cities

Ramallah, Feb 3 (Prensa Latina) At least 18 Palestinians were killed on Saturday, mostly women and minors, after Israeli attacks on Deir al-Balah and Rafah cities, in the central and southern Gaza Strip, respectively.

The Wafa News Agency reported that the industrial and university areas of Gaza City are also “witnessing heavy shelling”.

Wafa noted that Israeli troops arrested dozens of citizens in the town of Tel Al-Hawa and forced others to leave their homes and flee to Deir al-Balah.

In this context, the Qatari TV Station Al Jazeera reported “fierce clashes between Palestinian armed groups and the Israeli army” west of Gaza City.

Al Jazeera pointed out there have been also clashes in the city of Khan Younis, epicenter of a ground offensive by the Armed Forces of the neighboring country for weeks.

According to official data, since the beginning of the new cycle of violence on October 7, over 27,000 Palestinians have died in Gaza and 66,000 others have been wounded.
