Gil referred to a letter signed by MIU General Secretary, Miguel Mejía, in which he expressed the organization’s rejection of the joint declaration signed by the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Ecuador against Venezuela.
The text stated that the subscription by the Dominican Government, along with Costa Rica and Ecuador, of this document on the Venezuelan issue is nothing more than ‘an interference that does not represent the sentiments of the Dominican people.’
It places the Executive of President Luis Abinader as another instrument of the shock forces used by the United States against nations such as ‘Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua and all those that do not submit to its dictates.’
The Alliance for the Development in Democracy (ADD), made up of the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Ecuador, is nothing more than an imperial cell,’ used as a shock force against nations that achieved their independence and do not submit to the tutelage of hegemonic, imperial and interfering countries.
He remarked that the DDA ‘is nothing but a “stooge,” with no autonomy of its own, at the service of those nations that sponsor economic and military terrorism against all those who do not submit to their whims and interests.
