In the meeting, the South Korean diplomat expressed his country’s desire to cooperate with South Korea in manufacturing its automobiles, Bangladesh Sangsbad Sangstha (BSS) reported.

Humayun, in turn, said Dhaka had taken initiatives to manufacture its brand cars through Pragati Industries, a company of Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation (BSEC) under the Ministry of Industries.

The Bangladeshi minister stated that if we cooperate with Seoul, our car manufacturing activities will be accelerated.

He added that his government has included the issue of 1500-1600 cc car manufacturing in the Automotive Industry Development Policy 2021.
