Leaders from the sector warned that they will maintain this measure as a vigil until circulation on the highways is enabled. “Our request is legitimate, we only ask that they unblock the highways for humanity, that they let us work (…) We have colleagues who are suffering on the highways”, the executive of Interdepartmental Transportation, Rubén Flores, assured.
With the buses, the drivers blocked part of Mariscal Santa Cruz Avenue and the central Obelisco, affecting vehicular traffic.
“Who is going to pay our debts to the bank? We have to pay taxes, who will be responsible (…)”, Flores warned in statements to the state channel Bolivia TV.
The sector also demanded that the Legislative Body make the judicial elections viable.
“We are going to keep a vigil until this law is approved and the roads are unblocked. We are going to stay until the last consequences”, Flores insisted.
National roads have been blocked for 11 days on Thursday, mainly in Cochabamba, to demand the resignation of self-extended magistrates and the viability of judicial elections.
