The solidarity movement’s members toured places of historical, economic, cultural and social interest in this province, and held an exchange with combatants of the Sept. 5, 1957, armed popular uprising in the territory.

The supportive friends were informed about the teaching of local history and the independence actions in Cuban schools.

During their visit, the leadership of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution bestowed on the Brigade the ACRC’s 30th Anniversary Seal.

For the Argentine Ruben Rivero, this visit to Cuba allows him to understand particularities of the Cuban economic situation and to know closely the fighting spirit of this people, which will help him “to continue to crack down imperialism in our countries.”
