The session, at the Dorado Hall of the Foreign Ministry, is being attended by the main presentation of Magistrate Hugo Picado, director of the Institute for Training and Studies in Democracy (IFED) of the TSE, who stressed the significance of these elections for the Costa Rican democracy.
The authority provided a detailed presentation on the historical context and the main characteristics of the electoral process to be held in the 84 cantons of the country, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Magistrate Hector Fernandez, director of the Electoral Registry and Political Financing of the TSE, presented the process that the institution has pursued to implement the electronic voting option to facilitate the work of the members of the voting boards.
