Since several years ago, Minsal personnel moved their actions from the usual centers to markets and other areas of high affluence of the population to apply doses of vaccines due to the increase of respiratory diseases and Covid-19.
According to reports, personnel of the entity were deployed in these days to municipal markets such as San Miguel in vaccination days to bring the service to traders and visitors of this place.
“Among the vaccines applied we included pneumococcal 23-valent, influenza and Covid-19. Everything is done with the objective of preventing respiratory diseases and taking care of Salvadoran families”, indicated the report of the health authorities.
It is foreseen, according to the ministry, that the vaccination days as a strategy will be maintained during the year with the implementation of the vaccine against pneumococcal 23-valent in the vaccination schedule.
This drug, which was not part of the scheme, is provided to adults over 60 years of age and seeks to prevent diseases such as pneumonia and otitis.
