The meeting took place in an atmosphere of fraternity and made it possible to evaluate the creation of strategies and actions to boost the current ties in this field, a source from the diplomatic mission told Prensa Latina.
On the occasion, a letter from the head of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, Antonio Carricarte, was delivered to his Angolan counterpart.
During the meeting, which was also attended by the third secretary of the Cuban Embassy, Maribys Perez, both parties expressed interest in systematizing economic forums, as part of the actions to expand the sectors for cooperation.
They also highlighted the historic ties of friendship that unite the two countries and peoples.
Cuba and Angola maintain cooperation relations in several sectors, including health care, education, construction, defense and hydraulic resources, which are expected to be extended to other areas such as biotechnology.
The 16th Session of the Intergovernmental Commission, to be held in Luanda this year, should pave the way for these purposes.
