Accompanied by the organization secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Roberto Morales, Díaz-Canel met with doctors and nurses from the territory to learn about their perspectives on the Government’s decision to make additional payments to workers in the health and education sectors.
The head of State learned that after the measure, more than 340 professionals have returned to work, including 279 nurses, the Presidency of the Republic informed on its X account.
Díaz-Canel also made an emotional visit to a local Children’s Home without Family Protection, where ten children, aged one and seven years, receive full-time care.
For 27 years, the place has taken care of children in vulnerable situations, which was recognized by the Cuban leader, who also confirmed the results of the protected crops module in Las Guásimas and the Marfán farm, which demonstrate the productive potential of the capital municipality.
