At an event to honor the Cuban National Hero with wreaths at his bust, the diplomat referred to Martí’s living presence in the hearts of Cubans and that after nearly two centuries his thought and work are still valid.
The ambassador and several students laid a wreath, followed by others from local authorities, Hungarian political forces, the Venezuelan Ambassador, Cuban residents in Hungary and representatives of the population.
Also present at the ceremony were the principals of two nearby schools, among other participants.
