According to spokesman Wang Wenbin, since last year exchanges between the two countries have resumed rapidly at all levels and cooperation in various fields recorded fruitful results.
For the spokesman, this demonstrates the ‘vigorous vitality of China-France relations’ after the pandemic.
Wang stressed that over the past six decades, the two countries adhered to independence and self-determination, achieved common development through beneficial cooperation, promoted mutual understanding between civilizations on an equal footing, and worked to address global challenges through multilateral coordination.
During 2024, the two nations will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism, said the spokesman.
He also considered that this is a new historic starting point and Beijing is ready to work with Paris to build a stronger and more dynamic comprehensive strategic partnership.
