According to the media outlet, at 2:00 p.m. local time, the Union of Workers of the Popular Economy will host a meeting of representatives of various groups that will participate in a national day of struggle scheduled for Thursday.

Supporters of the initiative will denounce the lack of food in soup kitchens and the effects of the adjustment plan undertaken by the Government of Javier Milei, which involves a devaluation of 118 percent, the elimination of subsidies, the dismissal of personnel from state entities and the end of public works.

According to Télam, the protests will include mobilizations at supermarkets, complaints to the Coordinator of Food Products Industries, popular soup kitchens and the delivery of petitions to government agencies.

Among the organizations that will participate in the demonstrations are the Evita Movement, the Corriente Clasista y Combativa, Somos Barrios de Pie, Libres del Sur, the Frente Popular Darío Santillán and the Dignidad Popular Movement.
