Esteban Lazo praises achievements of Cuban Workers’ Confederation

Havana, Jan 28 (Prensa Latina) The president of the National People's Power Assembly (Parliament), Esteban Lazo, praised the work of the Cuban Workers' Confederation (CTC), which is celebrating its 85th anniversary on Sunday.

On the X platform, the parliamentary leader congratulated all CTC workers and noted that loyal to the legacy of its founders, the members of the trade union are a vanguard “in the effort to build a more socialist, prosperous and sustainable nation.”

Lazo wished the unionists success in their 22nd Congress, whose organic process will take place throughout 2024, with the final sessions in April 2025.

The CTC was founded on January 28, 1939, during a process of organization and integration of Cuban unions with the purpose of defending the workers’ rights and actively participating in the 1940 Constituent Assembly.
