The diplomat also met with Cuban legislator and Parlatino President Rolando González.

The meeting was an opportunity to exchange information on the current activities and prospects of Parlatino and the Federal Assembly of Russia.

In November 2013, the two legislative bodies signed a cooperation agreement in Moscow to strengthen their traditional ties of friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation, the text noted.

The Federal Assembly of Russia has the status of permanent observer of Parlatino.
