The drug arrived in the country hidden in bags of dog and cat food, in packages from Australia and England, added the National Anti-Drug Secretariat (SENAD), quoted by the publication.
The weighing of the envelopes with ecstasy, which were intercepted days ago by experts of that entity, was carried out this Wednesday at the Permanent Attention Office of the Palace of Justice in the capital, the sources explained.
Shipments of drugs coming from Europe to the country have been frequent in recent times, such as that of 13 thousand doses of ecstasy also coming from Switzerland, detected on November 8 by means of a similar procedure, this time camouflaged in packages of fish food.
Paraguay, according to SENAD experts, is thus becoming a distribution center for synthetic drugs from the Old Continent, bounded, above all, for Brazil and Argentina.
