In a press release to which Prensa Latina had access, the society congratulated its Alma Mater for receiving such a category, granted by the Council for International Evaluation and Accreditation.

We want to convey our deep satisfaction with and pride for this new accreditation, more than 30,000 doctors in science and conscience feel happy and eternally grateful for all the love that continues to be transmitted to us since the first day we put our feet on our beloved Cuba,’ the document stressed.

The Nicaraguan physicians who graduated from the ELAM reiterated their gratitude to the workers and professors of that educational center and added that it continues to be their home.

On Wednesday, the ELAM and the medical career received the referred accreditation granted by prestigious academics from that entity, which belongs to the Union of Latin American and Caribbean Universities.

The category was awarded as a result of 24 years of fruitful work in the training of health professionals, with a record of 19 graduations of students from 120 countries.

In a message, the university’s staff expressed confidence and affirmed that they will fill the teaching spaces with wisdom, preparation, altruism, joy, ethical and revolutionary behavior.

We will not forget that we have the duty to make this genuine and life work eternal.

The ELAM is the first medical university to receive this status, just as it will celebrate its 25th anniversary on November 15. It was founded by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.

This scientific-pedagogical project receives students from the Americas, Africa, Asia and Oceania.
