Mexico’s prominence in 2025 corresponds to the usual deployment of the Aztec and Mayan country in the event, which in this year’s edition also has an important weight, especially in areas such as Queretaro, Oaxaca and Sinaloa, next to emporiums of the stature of its Caribbean beaches and the Riviera Maya.

In this regard, Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco, affirmed on Thursday that his country is proud to reach an agreement with Fitur to develop its full potential at the Madrid event.

The Association of Secretaries of Tourism of Mexico (Asetur), the IFEMA Trade Fair Institution and Fitur, sealed the agreement, which endorses the enormous importance of this event, said Torruco, who praised the work of the 31 states of his nation and Mexico City.

He said that Mexico will carefully prepare itself for the next edition of Fitur with a view to publicizing its tourism offer, among which stand out the promotion of the Mayan Train and the activities necessary to rebuild Acapulco after the passage of Hurricane Otis.

México, República Dominicana y Cuba destacan en Fitur

Madrid, 25 ene (Prensa Latina) México será el próximo País Socio de la Feria Internacional de Turismo de Madrid (Fitur), uno de los latinoamericanos destacados junto con República Dominicana y Cuba en el evento.

El protagonismo de México en 2025 se corresponde con el despliegue habitual del país azteca y maya en la cita que en la edición de este año también tiene un peso importante, en especial de zonas como Querétaro, Oaxaca y Sinaloa, al lado de emporios de la talla de sus playas del Caribe y la Riviera Maya.

Al respecto, el secretario de Turismo mexicano, Miguel Torruco, afirmó este jueves que su país se siente orgulloso de alcanzar un acuerdo con Fitur para desarrollar todo su potencial en la cita madrileña.

La Asociación de Secretarios de Turismo de México (Asetur), la Institución Ferial IFEMA y Fitur, sellaron el convenio, que refrenda la enorme importancia de este evento, dijo Torruco, que elogió la labor de los 31 estados de su nación y de Ciudad de México.

Precisó que México se preparará con esmero para la próxima edición de Fitur con miras a difundir su oferta turística, entre las que descuellan la promoción del Tren Maya y de las actividades necesarias para reconstruir Acapulco tras el paso del huracán Otis.
