According to the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, the Governments of the United States and Iraq on Thursday announced an agreement to start negotiating a new road map to end the presence of the current international military coalition under the pretext of fighting the Islamic State terrorist group.
The two sides have already agreed on the creation of working groups to start the transition.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry noted that these negotiations should result in a timetable to set a date for the departure of international troops, bearing in mind that it should be carried out gradually until the conclusion of their full withdrawal.
