For New Delhi, this agreement between the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, is a new step to ratify and deepen from the formal point of view the links in that sphere, according to official sources of the South Asian nation.
In a statement, the Indian state entity affirmed that JETCO will strengthen bilateral economic ties and provide a platform for discussions, exchange of information, knowledge and ideas.
It also expressed confidence that the protocol will become an effective gateway to larger markets in Latin America and the Caribbean.
According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry based in New Delhi, the Joint Committee will be a liaison between authorities and their counterparts to facilitate trade in goods and services and in terms of new employment opportunities for professionals in both countries.
The establishment of JETCO will facilitate mitigation of export challenges from India and pave the way for boosting exports of pharmaceuticals, automobiles and engineering products manufactured in the South Asian nation.
Bilateral relations between India and the Dominican Republic are friendly and continue to deepen in all areas, the entity said.
