Bolivia boosts regional industrialization initiative

La Paz, Jan 23 (Prensa Latina) Bolivia leads on Tuesday an initiative aimed at creating a regional forum dedicated to the continuous exchange of knowledge and best practices with a view to strengthen industrialization, an official source assured.

“We propose the creation of a regional forum for the continuous exchange of knowledge and best practices that promote innovation, ensuring that we are prepared to face future challenges,” Bolivian Foreign Minister Celinda Sosa affirmed at the plenary of the G77+China Summit in Kampala, Uganda.

An institutional press release states that the goal is to strengthen industrialization, face future global challenges and ensure sustainable development.

The press release refers that the proposal is aligned with the principles of the G77+China, which call for a more inclusive, democratic, peaceful, fair and sustainable world order, with values that guide and solve global challenges.

The FM added that those efforts are based on unity in economic, social, political and cultural diversity.

Foreign Minister Sosa in her speech to the plenary recalled that Bolivia’s President Luis Arce in his speech at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, urged for an effort to declare the world a Zone of Peace.

“From our condition as a peaceful State and our deep respect for life, we strongly condemn the genocide committed by Israel against the Palestinian people,” the Minister of Foreign Affairs noted.

The authority further repudiated the complicit attitude of the UN Security Council, kidnapped by hegemonic interests that prevent putting an end to this massacre.

Minister Sosa expressed solidarity with Venezuela, Cuba and other countries suffering economic, commercial and financial blockades by imperial powers, thus reaffirming Bolivia’s commitment to contribute to the construction of a fairer and equitable world.
