“There are reasons to be concerned and, therefore, to be alert and on a combat footing. Threats of a conservative and colonial restoration project have not disappeared (…),” he reminded in his message for the 15th anniversary of the Constitution that recognizes equal rights among the 36 Bolivian nations.
Arce underscored the danger represented by the articulation of traditional conservative sectors with what he called “a new right wing that, for personal and electoral ambitions, are trying to weaken the foundations of our Plurinational State (…).”
He indicated these sectors are functional to the strategy with which imperialism wants to reconquer the American continent, and are a threat to the Bolivian State.
He added that this threat is aimed against the expansion of democracy, effective individual and collective rights, sovereign foreign policy and the successful economic model.
