Before receiving the plan for a new industrial policy, drawn up by the National Council for Industrial Development (CNDI), President Lula admitted that Brazil was always on the brink, “but we never got there” to develop definitively.
The head of State stated Brazil became the world’s sixth largest economy and “we went back to twelfth, we are now ninth. But not because people grew a lot but as the others fell.”
In this regard, Lula thanked the Vice President and Minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services, Geraldo Alckmin, for his work done, “which for me has been a very important job”.
Alckmin sumbitted to the President the financing program to reindustrialize the country, with over USD$ 60 billion planned through 2026.
These resources are focused on sustainability and innovation, in addition to job creation.
