All happened when staff close to civil servant Paulémont Michel, recently appointed by Prime Minister Ariel Henry, broke up a group of demonstrators opposing to Michel and to the Henry, by shooting at them.

One individual died on the spot, and two others as a result of their wounds. An unspecified number of individuals were driven to nearest medical centers to be treated for bullet wounds.
