The information expressed that the meeting between Tunisian Foreign Minister Nabil Ammar and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla addressed issues related to the historical relations between the two countries, as well as opportunities to promote bilateral cooperation in areas such as the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
The ministers also exchanged views on topics raised in the agenda of the Summit where Ammar expressed to his Cuban counterpart Tunisia’s recognition for the efforts deployed by Cuba during its presidency of the Group of 77 to defend the interests of the countries of the South.
The note continues, stating that the Cuban minister renewed his gratitude to Tunisia for participating in the recent Havana Summit and for its continued support on the UN General Assembly resolutions demanding an end to the U.S. blockade against Cuba.
Likewise, both parties regretted the failure of the international group and international mechanisms to put an end to the attacks and crimes faced by the Palestinian people for more than 100 days and for the continuous violations of Humanitarian Law and the United Nations Charter.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Parrilla invited his Tunisian counterpart to pay a working visit to Cuba during the coming period to continue consultations on promoting cooperation between the two countries.
