Archbishops, representatives of the Patriarchate, CEO’s of the Asmara diocese, academics, parish administrations and church representatives, as well as government authorities, diplomats and thousands of faithful took part in the religious festivity, the Eritrean Ministry of Information revealed.
The opening prayer was led by the Holy Patriarch of the Orthodox Tewahedo Church, His Holiness Abune Petros, followed by the liturgy and the covenant.
Afterwards, the head of Evangelization of the Patriarch’s Office, Memhir Simon Beyene, delivered a lecture on the feast of baptism and its meanings.
