fuel-prices-rise-in-el-salvador
Santo Domingo. Jan 19 (Prensa Latina) The Dominican Government will continue the subsidy plan for fuels of major domestic use in the next seven days in view of the upturn in their price in the international market, Deputy Minister of Internal Commerce Ramon Perez Fermin informed on Friday.

In order to avoid greater expenses to the population, Fermin said that almost 25 pesos (USD 0.42 cents) of subsidy per gallon will be applied in the case of regular diesel and over 17 pesos (USD 0.28 cents) per gallon of optimum diesel.

The authority explained that Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) will further be subsidized with 10 pesos (USD 0.16 cents), with the goal of not transferring the upsurge in the global amount of fuels to the retail prices.

For the week of January 20 to 26, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes decided that regular and premium gasoline, regular and premium diesel, LPG and natural gas will maintain the prices of the previous week.

Fuel oil will go down slightly and kerosene will go up by five pesos and 30 cents (USD 0.08) and avtur by five pesos and five cents.
