The representative of the Ministry of Communications (MINCOM) and S. Krishna, secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in Digital Public Infrastructure.
Earlier, on the last day of IndiaSoft, Yaimí Trujillo, director of the University of Informatics Sciences, and Raúl de la Nuez, general director of BioCubaFarma’s Information Technology company, suscribed similar agreements with an important Indian company in the sector.
The day before, during a forum between businessmen of the two countries, organized by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce based in New Delhi, Trujillo, on behalf of his institution, signed agreements of the same level with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) for collaboration in education and research and with the company Agni Interactive Ignite Creativity, dedicated to games and entertainment.
In a telephone conversation, Cuban Minister of Communications Mayra Arevich thanked those present at the forum for their interest in Cuba’s opportunities and expressed her conviction for the satisfactory outcome of the Cuban delegation in India, with an impact on the development objectives of the telecommunication industries, information technology and the island’s postal activity.
