The meeting will be an opportunity to discuss the challenges of communication in current times and the construction of a New International Information Order to combat the dissemination of fake news.

In addition to exchanging ideas with Cuban authorities and experts, attendees will be able to take advantage of an interesting program of visits to places of interest in Cuba.

This forum will also be the venue to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the original Operation Truth, convened by Fidel Castro to denounce hostile campaigns.

The 1959 conference, considered then the largest press conference in the world, brought together more than 400 foreign journalists in Havana, who were able to personally verify the reality of the newborn Cuban revolutionary process, the object of enormous discrediting campaigns from the United States.

The meeting will also commemorate the 65th anniversary of the founding of Prensa Latina, which emerged from the need to tell the true stories of the peoples of the South.
