During his official tour, which began at La Cuba Agroindustrial Enterprise, the Cuban leader was accompanied by the Secretary of the Communist Party (PCC) Roberto Morales,
Díaz-Canel had the chance of meeting with directors and workers of the Paquito González Cooperative.
He also visited the Ecuador Sugarhouse, which started off its sugar harvest on Tuesday and expects to produce some 8,000 tons of sugar.
A special moment of the visit was the meeting at the Florecitas Martianas Day Care Center, caring 148 children from Gaspar town, in Baraguá municipality.
Díaz-Canel toured the classrooms and congratulated professors for the beautiful toys they hand-make for children, by using the papier-mâché technique.
The Head of State also spoke with students of the José Martí Pre-University, who were working at an urban organic garden in town.
