New Delhi, Jan 18 (Prensa Latina) The signing of agreements between Indian and Cuban institutions was one of the notable aspects of the business delegation headed by First Deputy Minister of Communications Wilfredo Gonzalez.

During a forum between the two countries’ business people, organized by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in New Delhi, the University of Computer Science (UCI) and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate in teaching and research.

UCI representative Yaimí Trujillo exchanged another MoU on collaboration with Agni Interactive Ignite Creativity, a company involved in the entertainment and video game industry.

Deputy Minister Gonzalez, Ambassador Alejandro Simancas and other guests like Lalatiana Accouche, High Commissioner of Seychelles, witnessed the formalities along with executives of renowned Indian companies that have expressed interest in Cuba’s potential.

Cuban Minister of Communications Mayra Arevich addressed a message to those present, in which she thanked the Indian and Cuban business people for their participation in the forum, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, as organizer of the event, and the Government of India for the current edition of the International Conference on Electronics and Information Technologies, IndiaSoft.

She noted that Cuba has participated for three years in the prestigious event, which will end in New Delhi on Friday, and stressed that IndiaSoft has become a platform for joining efforts and advancing in projects to achieve an inclusive and connected world.

Arevich expressed her conviction of the satisfactory outcome of the Cuban delegation in India with an impact on the development objectives of the telecommunications industry, information technology and postal activity in Cuba.

Previously, the First Deputy Minister of Communications described the interactive dialogue among business people as the main activity of his delegation, and considered it a great opportunity to start a long path of commercial relations in the sector.

In his presentation, Wilfredo Gonzalez explained that one of the advantages of doing business in Cuba is its geographical position, since it allows relations with the nations of the American continent with which Cuba mostly has excellent political ties.
