Representatives of the press, solidarity organizations and Indian businessmen, the Cuban diplomatic corps and other countries, together with the business delegation accompanying the First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Communications of Cuba (Mincom) on his working visit to India, shared the activity to celebrate the 64th anniversary of bilateral relations.
In the crowded reception, accompanied by music and motifs of the Cuban culture and traditions, the Indian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs highlighted the close bilateral ties that exist between the two nations since the Triumph of the Revolution on January 1, 1959.
She stressed that relations have advanced in sectors such as Ayurvedic medicine, cooperation for development and India’s support in economic sectors of Cuba.
She mentioned biofuels as one of the branches in which both countries can advance in aspects related to cooperation.
In turn, Ambassador Alejandro Simancas, in his remarks, highlighted India’s support to Cuba’s confrontation against the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States. jrr/jav/mem/lrd
