According to the Conservative Parliamentarian Diego Bazán, the censure to Chávez counts with the necessary majority for inaction before repeated denouncements of the existence of a black market of exclusive military use material.
After criticizing the easy access of criminal organizations to grenades which they have used for extortion purposes against businessmen and other citizens, he reminded that Chavez has been questioned twice in which his resignation was proposed, but this did not achieve the required votes, more than half of the total number of legislators.
“I believe that today it is possible” the censure that would force one of the most important ministers of President Dina Boluarte’s ruling team to resign.
Bazan made the statement after Chavez assured that his Ecuadorian counterpart officially informed him there is no evidence that the armament used by criminal organizations in their recent destabilizing assault came from the Peruvian Armed Forces.
