Rudeineh thus responded to international press reports about Washington’s demands, at the request of its ally, to reform the Palestinian National Authority.
Quoted by Wafa, the spokesman added that any necessary changes or reforms will be according to a Palestinian agenda, not an external agenda.
The official urged again the White House to pressure Israel to stop its aggression on the occupied territories, mainly the Gaza Strip, where more than 23,000 people have been killed since October 7, 2023.
Without an independent Palestinian State with East Jerusalem as its capital, no security or peace will be achieved for anyone in the Middle East, Rudeineh stressed.
