The state news agency KCNA noted that the talks were attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Im Chon Il and DPRK Ambassador to Moscow Sin Hong Chol on the Korean side, and by Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Ludenko, and Alexandr Matsegora, head of the Russian diplomatic office in Pyongyang, on the Russian side.
On the occasion, they discussed in detail the development of the DPRK-Russia friendly relations at a higher stage on the basis of the agreements from the historic bilateral summit held in September 2023, and the enhancement of strategic and tactical cooperation between the two countries’ foreign ministries to promote bilateral exchanges and cooperation in all fields.
The two sides reached an agreement after exchanging in-depth views on intensifying joint action on regional and international issues, including the situation on the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia.
