With this step, the ties of “brotherhood and cooperation” between both nations were reaffirmed, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated on its X account.
Last June, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro noted that relations between the Governments of the Bolivarian Republic and Türkiye will continue along the path of brotherhood and cooperation.
The head of State then sent his best wishes and wished success to “our brother” President Erdogan in this new stage of his administration, which “will undoubtedly be one of development and prosperity” for Türkiye, he wrote on the same social network.
Maduro visited Türkiye to participate in the inauguration of his Turkish counterpart after he won the elections with more than 52 percent of votes in the second round, and was received at the Presidential Complex by Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
The Bolivarian head of State described the relationship with Türkiye as an “endearing and supportive alliance,” and noted that Venezuela will always have the best willingness to strengthen the deep bilateral relations with affection, closeness and respect with this nation.
“We will continue to work the welfare of our peoples!” he affirmed.
Last year, Caracas and Ankara signed a memorandum of understanding in this capital to strengthen the strategic ties between the two countries.
