The state-run KCNA news agency reported that the minister, who heads a DPRK government delegation, conveyed President Kim Jong Un’s warm greetings to his Russian counterpart.
Putin, in turn, conveyed to her his New Year’s greetings for DPRK President Kim Jong Un.
The two sides reaffirmed their position to promote the development of bilateral relations in general and strengthen joint action and cooperation to ensure peace and stability in the region and the rest of the world.
They also agreed to achieve co-prosperity and development by forging strategic and traditional friendly ties between the DPRK and Russia. The meeting was also attended by members of the DPRK government delegation, Korean Ambassador to Russia Sin Hong Chol, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Assistant to the President Yuri Ushakov and other members of the Cabinet.
