The announcement was made by Niurka Perez Denis, Cuba’s Tourism Delegate Counselor for Spain and Portugal, in an interview with the specialized publication TTC to which Prensa Latina had access.
It is Cuba’s major event on tourism, which will take place in Jardines del Rey from May 2 to 5 and it will be dedicated to Latin America and the Caribbean this year, she explained.
During the 44th edition of the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) in Spain, at IFEMA Madrid, the Cuban delegation will have a large presence of hotel chains, airlines, tour operators and representatives of the wide range of Cuba’s offers.
Headed by Cuban Minister of Tourism Juan Carlos Garcia Granda, the delegation will also include representatives of the hotel chains Cubanacan, Grupo Gaviota, Gran Caribe, Islazul, Campismo, Meliá Hoteles, Iberostar, Muthus, Blue Diamond, Barceló, Blau, ROC Hoteles, Kempinski, Archipiélago, ATG and Valentín, among others.
We have national receptive companies with experience in the design of tourist packages, which will also be present with their main executives, including Viajes Cuba, Cubatur, Viajes Cubanacan, Ecotur, Havanatur, as well as Paradiso, San Cristóbal, Cubadeportes, Servicios Medicos Cubanos, Cubana de Aviacion, and the extra hotel company Cubasol with its firms Cubagolf, and Transtur, Perez Denis added.
She said that in addition to a range of tourist products that are no longer based only on sun and beach destinations, Cuba’s wealth and ecological and cultural attractions will be shown, as well as other varieties such as health tourism.
