In a governmental statement, the Minister said that 16,000 soldiers from the British Navy, tanks, artillery and helicopters will be deployed in that region from February to June 2024.
According to the text, the objective is to carry out military exercises and joint operations to strengthen the preparation of British land forces within the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
The Royal Navy will incorporate eight warships and submarines and 2,000 sailors, together with a battle group made up of F-35B aircraft and helicopters, frigates and destroyers that will remain in the North Atlantic, in the Norwegian Sea and in the Baltic region.
In recent days, the governments of Cuba and Venezuela, and the United Nations condemned the air attacks perpetrated by the United States and the United Kingdom on cities in Yemen, which contribute to destabilizing the Middle East.
