Speaking on the second day of the VII African Continental Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, they highlighted how “Cuba taught humility, solidarity, commitment and professionalism in our respective disciplines as doctors, engineers, etc. and that is why we serve our people with dignity”.

In their message to the 245 delegates from 28 nations, they recalled how they were able to be educated in Cuba despite the fact that Cuba suffers the ” horrible economic, commercial and financial blockade of the U.S. imperialists”.

During their speech, the South African former students in Cuba expressed how, from the opportunity given to them by the Cuban Revolution, they will always be indebted to the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz.

They also assured that on Cuba they learned the best definition of solidarity. Namely: “To share what one has, not to give what is left over”.

At the end of their studies, they emphasized, “We left Cuba, but Cuba never left us”.
