Palestine accuses Israel of supporting settler violence

Ramallah, Jan. 16 (Prensa Latina) The Palestinian Government accused Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday of sponsoring and protecting settler violence in the West Bank to create chaos in the territory, which will also allow him to deal the final blow to the signed agreements.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate condemned in a statement the systematic crimes committed by those people against the civilian population, their properties, and lands in the West Bank.

The violations are an expression of an official Israeli policy led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, the Ministry added.

Those actions aim to push the situation in the West Bank into a spiral of violence and chaos, difficult to control, to ease the final blow of the occupying power on the signed agreements, including the destruction of the Palestinian National Authority,” the text stressed.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate affirmed that the strategy also seeks to accelerate the pace of the gradual annexation of the West Bank to undermine any chance of creating a Palestinian State with East Jerusalem as its capital.
