There is a visible humanitarian crisis that needs to be addressed and the creation of sustainable humanitarian corridors is the current need, Foreign Minister Subrahmanyan Jaishankar said after a meeting in Tehran with his counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
The deeply disturbing situation in Gaza was a subject of our discussions and its main focus was the loss of civilian lives, especially women and children, the Indian foreign minister revealed.
The Indian FM confirmed that New Delhi and Tehran have a common view in welcoming the efforts of the international community to ensure the safety of the Palestinians.
Jaishankar recalled that India has delivered shipments of aid material to Gaza and has contributed to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (Unrwa).
