According to the call for the entries, up to two works can be submitted in any of the following genres: painting, engraving, illustration, drawing, photography, installation, performance, digital and audiovisual art.
Two-dimensional pieces not exceeding 200 centimeters and three-dimensional pieces not exceeding 150 centimeters in height, should be submitted on paper or cardboard and properly mounted, otherwise the institution will not be responsible for any damage they may suffer, the text says.
In the case of artists participating with audiovisuals or performances, they should submit the projects with visual information (sketches, photos, videos), as well as the projection media in the case of audiovisuals.
The works will be received until February 5 at 12:00 noon local time and should be accompanied by a technical sheet with the author’s and the work’s data.
The place for the reception of the materials in competition is the Fayad Jamis Gallery, located at Quinta B Street and Los Cocos Avenue, zone 7, Alamar, from Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 18:00, local time.
An admission committee will select the finalist works and a jury composed of renowned artists and specialists will award first, second and third prizes, as well as the mentions yet to be determined.
The inauguration and awarding of the event will take place on February 17 at 6:00 p.m. at the headquarters of the Cuban institution.
