A statement published on the Presidency’s official website detailed President Gustavo Petro´s agenda at the annual meeting includes his attendance to talks on potentials for energy transition in Latin America as well as challenges for North-South cooperation.

Event though it was reported on Monday that President Petro would not be participating in the event due to the delay his entourage suffered during the opening ceremony of the head of State of Guatemala, Bernardo Arévalo, later the Colombian president himself announced that he would attend the event.

“We are going to Davos, we have the time. We thought we were going to continue in the same circumstance, but now that the problem of the constitutional government of Guatemala has been solved, we are going to Davos”, he said.
