“During a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, New Delhi intends to contribute as much as possible to the realization of the goals and objectives of the Russian presidency of the Brics,” it stressed.
In addition, the sides addressed a number of international issues, including the situation around Ukraine in which Russia maintains its position open to a respectful dialogue.
Putin and Modi noted with satisfaction the successes achieved in practical interaction in areas such as economy and trade and scientific-technical cooperation, energy, transport and logistics, and collaboration in the Russian Far East.
“The leaders expressed their interest in intensifying mutually beneficial bilateral ties and wished each other success in the forthcoming elections, presidential in Russia and parliamentary in India,” the message concluded.
