DPRK denounces South Korea’s provocations

Pyongyang, Jan 15 (Prensa Latina) The statements of high-ranking officials of the South Korean government and their military moves since early this year reveal who are the real culprits behind the worsening of the situation on the Korean Peninsula, KCNA said today. The state-run news agency of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) recalled in a lengthy comments that President Yoon Suk Yeol insists on completing the South Korea-U.S. extended deterrent system in the first half of the year and called on the military to be ready to fight.

KCNA also noted that South Korea’s top military leaders have been touring military units calling for an ‘immediate, categorical and consistent’ response to an alleged attack by Pyongyang.

Such bellicose rhetoric sounds more dangerous because it is accompanied by provocative actions,” he warned, citing the recent maneuvers with the United States in the vicinity of the DPRK (December 29 to January 5).

He warned that under these conditions any minor incident could lead to a major conflict and, using the Korean proverb, remarked that a thundercloud often brings a downpour.
