The head of State stressed that the new provisions will be enforced, also taking into account the principle of the Revolution that no one will be left helpless, and where everyone must assume the responsibility corresponding to their control and monitoring.
In this regard, he highlighted the role of the National People’s Power Assembly (Parliament) in the systematic verification of the results, accompanied by solid political communication.
The Parliament reported on its website that Díaz-Canel explained that there are four priorities for this stage of work, which are the strengthening of national unity, based on the elements raised by the leader of the Revolution, Raúl Castro, in his speech on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution in Santiago de Cuba, as well as the strengthening of ideological work, the political assurance of the measures approved in the National Assembly and the systematic discussion on negative trends in Cuban society.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero updated the members of the Council of State on the communication actions to inform the people about the new economic measures.
Marrero pointed out that “the political and communication assurance of its implementation and the support of the factors in all instances are fundamental providing the largest amount of information to the people, with the aim of clarifying any concerns.”
Council of State President Esteban Lazo highlighted that in this process, Cuba’s unity is essential to promote the fulfillment of the goals set with a view to achieving the best results, especially in the neighborhoods and communities, with the decisive work of the delegates.
