On celebrating Cuban Science Day on Monday, the minister posted on X: “In the National Public Health System, science is an essential guide and tool to upgrade the health and welfare of our population. To the Cuban scientists, congratulations for your dedication!”

Meanwhile, on the Ministry’s website, Portal highlighted that every day in the Public Health sector, its workers not only devote themselves to the task of medical care, but also make invaluable efforts in science, scientific research and innovation in the most diverse scenarios.

From clinical trials, genetic studies, placing intersectoriality and the multiple knowledge of various disciplines in order to be comprehensive in care, without ignoring the social determinants of health, to the planning of protocols, decision making, use of technologies, in each of the system areas, science is an essential guide and tool, he noted.

The goodness and wisdom of recognizing the essential role it plays and the wisdom that Cuba has had in cultivating it, more than once has been a saving truth, as in the hardest days of the Coivd-19 pandemic, the minister concluded.
