Quiroz informed that until December 2023, the plant had registered a physical, equipment, and machinery progress of more than 78.45 percent and a financial progress of 80.82 percent.
Fatima Pacheco, general manager of the Public Service for the Development of Production Companies, stated that the construction of the new industry is expected to be completed in all its phases in the first four months of 2024.
Its construction requires an investment of 62.3 million bolivianos (nearly nine million dollars).
The plant will benefit more than 1,800 families of coca growers and producers of other medicinal plants, and will generate 266 direct and indirect jobs during its operation.
